Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah on Thursday appealed to the people of Jharkhand to vote for good governance, adding that a stable government and a strong leadership is very important for the development of the state.

"It is for you to decide who will you vote for, these people who form corrupt coalition Governments or the BJP," said Shah while addressing a rally here.

"You should go and visit Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Goa and Rajasthan. People there get power supply, health and education facilities round the clock," he added.

In his rally, Shah also appealed to Jharkhand to support Prime Minister Narendra Modi's efforts for the development of the state.

The third phase of the five-phased assembly elections in Jharkhand are to be held on December 9, with the results of the polling scheduled to be declared on December 23.
