Apple accounted for over half of all device activations during Christmas week

According to new data from analytics firm Flurry, Apple devices accounted for more than half of device activations during Christmas holidays.

CNET reported that 51.3 percent of all device activations in the week leading up to December 25 were that of Apple's.

Samsung and Nokia occupied second and third positions with 17.7 percent and 5.3 percent of all device activations, respectively.

Jarah Euston, Flurry's vice president of analytics and marketing, wrote that for every Samsung device that was activated, Apple activated 2.9 percent devices and for every Microsoft Lumia device activated, Apple activated 8.8 devices.
