Archie Panjabi to quit 'The Good Wife' for new 20th Century Fox TV pilot

Archie Panjabi would be leaving the cast of 'The Good Wife' to headline a new drama pilot for 20th Century Fox TV.

The 42-year-old British born star, who portrayed investigator Kalinda since the very start, would bid farewell at the end of the season, Deadline.com reported.

The show's creators Robert and Michelle King said in a statement that Punjabi is an "amazing actress" who made the character an "enigmatic, powerful, and sexy," and though would be sad to see her go, they would be looking forward to seeing her bring new roles to life.

Panjabi's bi-sexual character had won an Emmy in 2010 and had earned her two more nominations.

20th Century Fox EVP Casting Sharon Klein said that Punjabi's work on has been extraordinary any couldn't have been more glad to have her on board.
