Argentina's loss to Germany in the 2014 FIFA World Cup finals on Sunday, resulted in early Monday morning incidents of rock pelting in national capital Buenos Aires.
Riot police had to be summoned and had to fire tear gas and water cannon to break up dozens of rock-hurling youths.
Argentina's hopes of a first World Cup win in 28 years were dashed by Germany in a one nil loss in the final.
Local media reports said rowdy youths taunted police officers and tried to kick down the metal grills on some shop fronts.
At least 15 police officers were wounded and more than 50 people were detained during the unrest.
