Security forces on Saturday recovered arms and ammunitions after busting a militant hideout in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Acting on a tip-off, the army and the state police carried out a search operation in Kakora forest of Rajouri.
"During search operation we found AK-47, some magazines, rounds and mobile phones. Binoculars have also been recovered from their hideout," said Deputy Inspector General of Police, Ashok Kumar Atri.
Atri added that this was a major recovery made by security forces in the area.
Earlier in the day, eight people were injured in a grenade attack by militants in the state's Shopian district.
The militants threw a grenade at police personnel stationed at the main town market of Shopian. However, the grenade missed the target and exploded in a crowded place, injuring eight residents.
The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. No casualties have been reported so far.
