Congress leader Renuka Chowdhary on Monday asserted that an "arrogant" Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) needs to come to its senses in order to make Parliament function and warned that the government will soon realize that they are not capable of governing the nation.

On being asked whether the ongoing Parliament logjam will still continue after the recent suspension of twenty five Congress MPs, Chowdhury told the media here: "Once the government comes into its senses and gets back to work, we will see. We too want the Parliament to function."

"We gave the government a choice of acting upon the resignation of few ministers and run the Parliament. But if the government has decided that they don't want the Parliament to run, then what can we do," she added.

Commenting on Prime Minister Narendra Modi backing Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan during an election campaign rally in Bihar's Gaya, Chowdhury stated that the Congress will go back to the public and let them decide.

"Congress will go back to common people. Public is watching. We want the government, which is showing so much of arrogance, to come into senses. Let me tell you, within a year, people have started shaming the government. Very soon they'll get to know that they are not capable of running a government," she said.

With just four days of the monsoon session of Parliament left, the Congress has made it clear that the protests inside the House will continue if the government did not accept their demand of removing the minsters and chief ministers involved in Lalit Modi issue and Vyapam scam.

Twenty five Congress MPs who have been suspended for five days by Speaker Sumitra Mahaja for obstructing the lower House are back today.
