Arsenal reclaimed top spot of the English Premier League due to a quick-fire double at Villa Park.
Two goals in the space of 60 seconds clinched a 2-1 win at Aston Villa on Monday, as Arsenal had slipped down to third after Chelsea and then Manchester City took turns at the top over the weekend.
Midfielder Jack Wilshere put Arsenal ahead in the 34th minute at Villa Park and then provided the pass for Olivier Giroud to double the lead just a minute later.
Christian Benteke reduced the deficit with a diving header in the 76th minute, Sport24 reports.
Impressed with Arsenal's good performance, Arsene Wenger said the first half was more about playing, and the second half was more about fighting in which his players have excelled.
