Arsenal midfielder Mikel Arteta has revealed that he snubbed a career in professional tennis to pursue his dream of becoming a footballer, also being a gifted tennis player as a youngster.
According to Metro.co.uk, Arteta had the choice at 15-years-old whether to remain on the court or carry on with football.
Arteta also revealed that Ronaldinho was the most gifted player he has ever played with, having spent time with the Brazilian during the start of his career at Paris Saint Germain, the report said.
He said that some of the player's tricks, techniques and his natural ability to dominate the ball were like nothing for him, but for others it was impossible.
