Ceramic artist Nirmala Sharma, mother of Captain Devashish Sharma -- who was killed while serving for the Indian Army in Jammu and Kashmir in 1994 -- has organised a ceramic pottery exhibition to raise money for the families of army jawans in Bhopal's Banganga.

Among the products being sold by the artist includes pen stands, fruit basket among others.

The four-day exhibition, which started on Friday, will end on December 10 on the death anniversary of Captain Devashish Sharma.

Captain Devashish Sharma, a Kirti Chakra awardee, died on December 10 in 1994 during an encounter with terrorists.

As homage to her late son, Nirmala Sharma sells hand-made pottery and raises funds for the welfare of Army soldiers. Last year, she had raked in nearly Rs 1 lakh through the exhibition.
