An artist has painted a 30-feet long portrait of U.S. President Barack Obama, who arrived in New Delhi for a three-day visit on Sunday.

Narendra Singh painted a portrait of Obama with Indian and United States flags at the backdrop with a message reading, 'All Indians salute you'.

"I have painted Obama's portrait with Indian and U.S flags in its backdrop. I believe meeting between leaders of both the countries is significant, which will send a good message across the world," Singh said.

President Obama is the first U.S. president to attend the Republic Day celebrations.

Obama arrived in New Delhi on Sunday with first lady Michelle Obama. They were greeted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the tarmac of the airport as they came down the steps from Air Force One.

Obama will leave for Saudi Arabia following the death of King Abdullah, skipping a planned visit to the Taj Mahal.
