Amid controversies surrounding Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav's family, and his son and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday accused the Congress of supporting and standing in favour of the corrupt.
"The Congress has supported the RJD. As always, the Congress is supporting and standing in the favour of the corrupt," BJP leader Sushil Modi told the media here.
Talking to ANI, Sushil Modi said the party had expectations from Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar that he would dismiss Tejashwi from his post.
"We had expectations from Nitish Kumar that he would dismiss Tejashwi from his post. The RJD's stand is clear; whole party is standing with Tejashwi Yadav. They are saying that it is done with the motive of revenge. Nitish has given him an ultimatum. If he has given a time of four-five days, we will wait for that. Whole Bihar knows Lalu Yadav doesn't have any answer for this. We will take this matter to the people of Bihar and will tell them about the corruption of this government," he added.
Sushil Modi further pressed for hope on getting information on Tejashwi's actual link to the alleged corruption case registered against him by the CBI.
"Hope that the person who has been alleged (of corruption) will release the facts in the public domain," he added.
