Cole, who played 338 games for Chelsea after joining from in 2006, could renegotiate terms to remain in south-west London if one of those other targets is not secured, although he is ready to pursue his career elsewhere and will seek a two-year deal.
According to The Guardian, the defender confirmed that he does not anticipate extending his eight-year career at Stamford Bridge, where his current deal will end on 30 June although boss Jose Mourinho hoped to retain him for a further 12 months.
The report mentioned that Monaco, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid are some of the European clubs said to be interested in Cole while clubs in Major League Soccer (MLS) are also monitoring the situation.
