WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has said he is confident of winning a Senate seat at the coming election in Australia.
In a rare in-person interview with News Corp Australia, Assange said that he will win, despite living in exile on the other side of the world.
According to news.com.au, he said that pre-election polling indicated that he and his newly-formed party had strong chances of winning the election.
Assange has been living in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London for more than a year after seeking asylum there to avoid extradition to Sweden.
He is wanted in Sweden for questioning over alleged sexual assault, the report added.
