WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has said that he has been advised by his lawyers to not leave the Ecuadorian embassy even if Sweden drops charges against him fearing US extradition on espionage charges.
According to the Guardian, Assange believes that the jury in Virginia has already lodged a sealed indictment by which he could be arrested and extradited by Britain to US to face prosecution over charges of WikiLeaks cable releases.
Assange further said that unless British government guarantees or gives information about a safe passage, he has been advised by his lawyers to not leave the embassy.
