At least three policemen were killed in a roadside bombing in eastern Afghanistan, while a NATO service member died in a separate attack in the war-torn country on Tuesday.

ABC News reports the three policemen died when their patrol vehicle struck a bomb planted along the road in the district of Bahrami Shahid in southern Gazni province, according to the province's deputy police chief, Asadullha Ensafi.

Ensafi said that a fourth policeman was injured in the attack.

Meanwhile, NATO confirmed that it lost one of its service members in an attack in the east on Tuesday.

However, no further detail was provided by the US-led military alliance.

While none of the terrorist groups have claimed responsibility for the attack yet, the police chief blamed the assaults on Taliban, who often target the country's security forces.
