The Delhi-based Ambedkar University (AUD) will be hosting a three-day progressive writers festival called "Sarkash Alfaaz" from Wednesday (September 16).
The festival will include a series of events, including panel discussions, performative readings, dramatic performances and screenings based on the lives and works of Bhisham Sahni, Ismat Chughtai and K A Abbas- three iconic members of India's progressive literary/cultural scene, who also happen to have shared their birth centenary in recent months.
It gives the AUD community an occasion to not only remember their works, but also recall their contribution to India's syncretic public culture and past.
For further details, you may contact Dr. Sayandeb Chowdhury or Dr. Vikram Singh Thakur, Organising Committee of the Progressive Writers Festival, AUD.
