Kabir Khan, brother of key eyewitness of Kolkata Audi hit and run case Shahnawaz Ali, has said that Sambia Sohrab who is the prime accused, was driving the car and assserted that his brother has no role to play in the tragic incident.
"He (Ali) said that Sambia was driving the car and that he (Ali) has no role to play. Ali was travelling in a different vehicle not the Audi. The day this incident took place he called me at 6.10 p.m, and said he had altercation with Sambia Sohrab around 4 pm and that he got down from the vehicle of Sambia and got into another vehicle," Khan told ANI.
"We met him on 12 January at around 3 pm and after that we haven't met," he added.
Khan also said that a complaint has been lodged by his wife in the police station.
"I haven't lodged a complaint, my wife lodged a complaint. On Thursday night in the evening when my wife went to police station they didn't take up the complaint, then after 10.30 p.m. they took the complain," he added.
The key eyewitness in the incident Shahnawaz Ali has been missing since the incident.

Kolkata police arrested Sambia Sohrab yesterday evening in connection with the hit-and-run case.
The vehicle, Audi Q7, was bought on January 4. The police identified the owner of the car as Ambiya Sohrab, son of former Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) legislator from Kolkata's business district Burrabazar constituency Mohammad Sohrab.
