Australia have been forced to make a number of changes in the line-up for the remainder of matches of the ongoing five-match series against Pakistan.

Peter Handscomb, Aussies' new Test star, has been called up to the ODI team with Chris Lynn being sent home to Brisbane for further assessment on his neck injury.

Handscomb came into the limelight after finishing the three-match Test series against Pakistan, which Australia won 3-0, with 344 runs at 114.66.

Lynn, who made his ODI debut in the Brisbane on Friday, was not the part of Sunday's game in Melbourne which Pakistan went to win by six wickets. His further involvement in the series will be determined by more tests, reports news.com.au.

Right-handed all-rounder Mitchell Marsh will also miss the remaining three ODIs with a shoulder injury whereas leg-spinner Adam Zampa has been released back to his BBL franchise Melbourne Stars after missing the opening two games.

Left-handed pacer Mitchell Starc will be rested from Friday's game to be played at the WACA.

The series is currently leveled at 1-1. The Steve Smith-led side had beaten Pakistan by 92 runs in the 1st ODI.
