As several protesters have taken control of the main gate of the secretariat building in Islamabad, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has reportedly agreed to begin negotiations with the central government in Pakistan.

PTI leader Mehmood Qureshi said that the party has discussed amongst itself the position it will take if it comes to negotiating with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and stressed that the aim of holding the negotiations is to come out of the deadlock, reported the Dawn.

Qureshi said that six conditions will be put on the negotiating table but refused to mention the details. He also added that the party wants to strengthen the democracy and not derail it.

Meanwhile, the Pakistani army has finally broken its silence and urged the government and the political parties to practice restraint and resort to dialogue to find a way out of the political crisis.
