Bollywood stars on Thursday remembered the iconic filmmaker and showman of Indian cinema, Yash Chopra on his 86th birth anniversary today.
From sharing the snaps of his films to thanking him for his great work, Bollywood stars, Karan Johar, Madhuri Dixit, Juhi Chawla, and Anushka Sharma, recalled their memories with the legend.
Producer and director Karan Johar, who debuted his acting career with Chopra's 'Dilwale Dhulania Le Jayenge', took to Twitter and uploaded a picture Yash Chopra, writing, "My inspiration....My hero....my guiding light....love you and miss you Uncle Y!"
Taking to her Instagram, the 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' star shared a picture with her first director and wrote, "Warmth, Love, Greatness, Brilliance are some of the many qualities we remember Yashiji for. Will always be grateful and honourd to have been directed by Yashji..Will always miss him."
Remembering the mastermind on his birthday, Madhuri Dixit Nene took to her official Twitter handle and penned down a lovely message for the director. She wrote, "Remembering #YashChopra Ji on his birth anniversary. Bollywood wouldn't have been the same without your storytelling genius ? Thank you for the cinema!"
Juhi Chawla, meanwhile, shared a collage of her favourite movies directed or produced by Yash Chopra, writing, "Some of the films close to my heart. And today is Yashji's birthday... Maybe the point of our lives is not to live on forever. But to create something that does ..Yashji you created a legacy."
Also, the official Instagram account of Yash Raj Films shared a video of the legend with the background music of 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan'. They wrote, " A passionate filmmaker. A legend who created masterpieces that have carved a special place in our hearts. Remembering the cinematic genius #Yashji on his birth anniversary."
