Chelsea striker Demba Ba has reportedly kept his club close to Premier League's current leader Liverpool, by scoring the only goal of the match against one-man short Swansea City.
Players were reportedly unable to convert any goal for much of the match until Ba shot the maiden goal in 68th minute.
Swansea City were one man down early in the game following Chico Flores' dismissal for two yellow cards, Sport24 reported.
Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic passed the ball to Ba 30 yards from goal and though Swansea City defender Ashley Williams was in close proximity, the former Newcastle striker scored past goalkeeper Michel Vorm from 20 yards.
After the match, Chelsea stand at second place in the Premier League table with 75 points, 2 points adrift of leaders Liverpool, at 77, the report added.
