The UAE foreign ministry has issued a warning to its citizens against taking satellite communication devices to India and complies with the local rules and regulations.
The ministry has requested its citizens not to carry satellite communication devices when they visit India as India has banned phones such as Thuraya and Iridium, reports Gulf news.
According to the report, Indian media said that as mountaineers and trekkers travelling to remote areas have been using satellite phones without obtaining permission, government made the rule that satellite phones are not allowed without special permission from authorities.
