Welsh forward Gareth Bale has confirmed that he will stay on at Real Madrid despite enduring a turbulent second season in Spain.
Bale, 25, was the subject of criticism from fans and media after Real Madrid failed to win the La Liga or the Champions League.
There was speculation that Bale might return to the English Premier League, but Bale scotched it by saying that he will be a part of the Spanish team's bid to reclaim lost titles, reports the BBC.
Having joined Real from Tottenham for a world-record fee of 85.3 million pounds in 2013, Bale helped the Spanish club claim their 10th European title in his first season.
The Welshman scored 22 goals in his debut campaign. This year he scored 17.
