Bangladesh's Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has announced that his government will bring back the country's human trafficking victims through coordination with the nations concerned.
The Daily Star quoted Kamal, as saying this at a meet the press programme organised by Bangladesh Secretariat Reporters' Forum (BSRF) at the secretariat's media centre, that the navy and coast guards will bring them back according to their respective capacities.
The minister claimed that the operation will be undertaken with the assistance of Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia, as Bangladesh is "inside their maritime boundaries".
The home ministry, the foreign ministry and the overseas employment ministry of Bangladesh will take required measures to bring the human trafficking victims back, Kamal said.
He also said that strict action will be taken against the culprits behind the trafficking.
