Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has departed for New York to attend the 70th session of United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

According to the Daily Star, Hasina will be travelling in a VVIP flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines along with her entourage to the United States for an eight-day official visit.

After nearly a three-hour stopover at the Heathrow International Airport in London, she will fly to New York by a British Airways flight that will land at John F Kennedy (JFK) International Airport on September 23.
