The scheduling of the proposed tri-series in Zimbabwe featuring the hosts along with Pakistan and West Indies has left the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) unhappy as it has now created uncertainty over their chances of qualifying for the 2017 Champions Trophy.

The series will see the visiting teams and the host fighting for the last spot for the 2017 tournament in England.

Earlier, Bangladesh stunned India 2-1 and were celebrating their qualification as the eighth team of the Champions Trophy after their maiden ODI series victory over their mighty neighbours.

The victory allowed Bangladesh to rise to the eighth spot in the ICC rankings ahead of West Indies and Pakistan.

"The whole system has gone wrong ever since the ICC stopped following the FTP and let the boards deal bilaterally," Sport24 quoted Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) director Jalal Yunus as saying.

In order to qualify for the Champions Trophy, Bangladesh will now have to win at least one of the three ODIs in the home series against South Africa next month.
