Bangladesh High Commissioner to India Syed Muazzem Ali, on Thursday said that his country's team will have to put up a good show against India in the quarter-final match and wished that one of the South Asian teams emerge as the champion of the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup.

Ali said Bangladesh will have to put up a real good fight if they really want to score a victory against world champion India.

"We have done it before, I am sure we can do it again but for that we need a good bowling, good line and length. So far, they have been more or less ok but they will have to fight better," he added.

The Bangladesh envoy further said it is our wish that one of the South Asian teams emerge as the champion.

"As Prime Minister Modi had very kindly called up our Prime Minister and all other South Asian leaders wishing us well in this tournament, so we too wish that one of the South Asian teams emerge as the champion and the world cup returns or retains rather in our South Asia," he added.

India have won the toss and opted to bat against Bangladesh in the second quarter-final match, which is being played in Melbourne.
