The call from these poor workers come as international retailers have cancelled their contracts with the Bangladesh garment industry after the worst ever industrial accident- Rana Plaza factory collapse.
Nearly 1127 people died as the garments factory buidging collapsed in April.
After the tragedy many stores like Kmart and Big W, Global Giants Tesco, Walmart and Disney have pulled out orders from factories in Dhaka due to unsafe working conditions.
President of the Bangladesh Garment Buying House Association, Kazi Hossain, said that Australian companies came to Bangladesh and made huge profits because the price here is the cheapest in the world, and now it's their duty to improve conditions in the country and they should stay in the country to assist the people, not abandon them.
National Garment Workers Federation president Amirul Haque Amin said a boycott of Bangladesh will affect about four million workers, 80 percent of them being illiterate women who will not find work anywhere else.
