Banned Pakistani bowler Mohammad Asif is reportedly set to reconstruct his life by tapping his potential as an actor in an upcoming Bollywood film titled 'Indian Mein Lahore'.

'India Mein Lahore' held guerrilla-styled auditions in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad and Dubai in an attempt to find new faces and hopes to encourage positive relations between India and Pakistan.

According to the Express Tribune, Asif, who will be taking acting courses, said that his attempt to venture towards acting is about moving on with his life and he hopes to get a better sense of his character with time, adding that this is a second choice as a career for him.

However, Asif insisted that his priority in life is still cricket and he believes that he will be able to make a comeback to the game eventually, although he added that if he gets more film offers, he would take them without hesitation.

Stating that there is an evident parallel between an actor and a cricketer, Asif further said that both are in glamorous professions and both are around cameras all the time, adding that he hopes that people will give him a second chance to make a name for himself.

Asif, who has followed both Indian and Pakistani cinema with great enthusiasm, has attended a workshop organised by the film's producers in an attempt to hone his acting skills, the report added.
