Banned UEFA president Michel Platini is likely to face further probe from FIFA Ethics Committee after the former attended an award ceremony in Dubai despite his eight-year-ban from all football-related activities.

According to Sport24, Platini had attended the Globe Soccer Awards along with football players namely Lionel Messi and Andrea Pirlo in Dubai.

FIFA's Ethics Committee spokesperson refused to comment on the matter, but said that their Investigatory Chamber investigates any alleged violation of the ethics code of the world's football governing body.

Platini, along with his FIFA counterpart Sepp Blatter, have been serving an eight-year ban from all football-related activities over claims that the former had received a ' disloyal payment ' of 1.35 million pounds from the outgoing president in 2011.
