The Delhi Bar Association on Friday called a day-long strike over the suspected murder of a lawyer inside the Tis Hazari Court complex.
"Such an incident has never taken place in Tis Hazari court, we have decided that none of the lawyers in Delhi will work today. We want to know the reason behind the murder," said Sanjeev Nashiyar, President, Delhi Bar Association.
The police, meanwhile, have started investigation into the case and have detained some people in custody.
"According to the recent investigation, last night advocate Rajeev Sharma (victim) had a fight in a dhaba; the victim was attacked with sharp edged weapons on the head and after that his body was thrown out of the dhaba," said Madhur Verma, DCP, North.
"We have found a blood trail from the body till the dhaba. On suspicion, some people have been kept in custody. This was an isolated incident, which took place inside the complex," he added.
