Manager of the Spanish football club Barcelona FC, Ernesto Valverde, has said that they are looking to sign more players as they are lacking depth in the midfield after the departure of the former captain Andres Iniesta and Brazillian footballer Paulinho from the team.
"We're open to any possibility. It's true that we've had some big departures in midfield so it's likely that we will make more signings," goal.com quoted Valverde, as saying.
"We will try to build the most competitive squad possible, keeping in mind that Andres [Iniesta] and Paulinho have left," he added.
The manager asserted that they want players who can navigate well in the middle and can take the ball forward towards the goalpost.
Meanwhile, the club have already made three major deals of the season by roping in Brazillian strikers Malcom and Arthur Melo along with French footballer Clement Lenglet.
