Barcelona has rewarded its manager Luis Enrique for winning the La Liga, Copa del Rey the Champions League in his debut season by extending his contract by a year.
The 45-year-old's contract now expires in 2017.
Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu confirmed the news, adding that the club intends to make big signings - despite a transfer ban until 2016, the BBC reported.
Enrique's future had been in doubt after he refused to say whether he would remain at the club after Saturday's 3-1 win against Juventus in the Champions League.
