Ivory Coast held their nerve in a nail-biting penalty shootout to defeat arch-rivals Ghana 9-8 on penalties to win their second African Cup of Nations in Bata.
Following a goalless draw in 120 minutes, the game had to go to penalties to decide the winner.
Subsequently, Ivorian goalkeeper Boubacar Barry saved as well as scored the decisive winning goal for the Yaya Toure-led team.
On the other hand, Ghana failed to convert their chances into goals as they twice hit the post in the first half of the regular play.
