Thanking the people of Maharashtra for supporting his party during the Lok Sabha elections, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah on Monday promised them a better future if his party gets elected.

"I would like to thank people of Maharashtra for supporting the BJP during Lok Sabha elections. We won 42 out of 48 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra and this shows the amount of trust people of this state have on BJP and Prime Minister Modi," Shah said.

"We have been in the Centre for four months and the people in the opposition party are asking us to give a list of what we have done in these four months. These people who ruled the country for 60 years never told what they did and now they are asking us to list our achievements. But we have no problems in stating what we have done," Shah added.

Shah, who was addressing a rally here ahead of the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections, further said that that Prime Minister Modi launched the 'Make in India' initiative with the aim to increase employment.

Maharashtra will go to polls on October 15 while the counting of votes will take place on October 19.
