Manchester United has reportedly slipped down the football brand power league and has dropped 60 million pounds in value, while Bayern Munich topped the chart as the most valuable club in the world.

Arch rivals Manchester City climbed from eighth to fifth and saw its brand value rocket from 106 million pounds to 303 million pounds while United fell from 499 million pounds to 439 million pounds.

According to Sport24, the Old Trafford side lost its AAA* rating as it was leapfrogged by newly crowned Champions League title holders Real Madrid, while the German champions topped the chart as the most valuable club in the world worth 531 million pounds despite their exit from the Champions League.

The report said that Chelsea slipped two places to seventh with a brand value of 298 million pounds and Arsenal were non-movers at six with 300 million pounds according to the report compiled by analysts Brand Finance.

Liverpool dropped from seventh to eighth, despite the top two finish and their 64 million-pound rise in value to 278 million pounds while French side Paris St Germain rocketed through the rankings, shooting to number 10 from 24 last year.

Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur hovered outside the top ten and were non movers at 12 while Everton capped a dazzling season by moving 13 places to take the 20th spot, the report added.
