The Poker Sports League has announced its trials. Trials will include drafts for pro, online and live qualifiers, and offers the entire poker player community, a golden chance to become a part of Season 2 of the league.
Players can participate in these free poker tournaments in Bengaluru, Goa, Delhi and Mumbai. Anybody can earn leader board points by proving their poker skill over successive sessions. The first six qualifiers are counted towards a players leader board points, based on which, they will have a chance to make it to one of the 12 city/state based teams and their poker talent will be showcased on television.
Poker Sports League (PSL), the world's first franchise based poker league is the brainchild of Amit Burman, Anuj Gupta and Pranav Bagai - which was established last year, with a mission to establish poker as a sport in the country.
It is India's first professional poker league, which gives an opportunity to state level teams and all poker lovers to become a part of the league & learn from the best poker players in India.
For Season 2, PSL has franchised 12 teams with each team committing close to INR 15 crores over the next eight years.
Season two has announced a prize pool of INR 3.6 crores, which is a significant increase from the previous edition.
The teams this year will consist of a total of 10 players each, comprising of one mentor/ playing captain, two pro-players, two from free live qualifiers, three from free online qualifiers and two wild-card entries. While the first season saw 140 players getting drafted, this year the drafts will have close to 170 players, who can be eligible for participation.

The PSL has announced the schedules for the Live qualifiers, the pre-registration for which is now open on their website.
Dates for New Delhi are January 19 and 20 with simultaneous sessions taking place in Mumbai, Bengaluru and Goa.
A player should only register for the events he can play, as there is a penalty for players who pre-register but do not make it to the event. In extreme cases, a player can be barred from PSL for life.
A player gets a chance to pre-register or un-register three hours before the qualifier begins. After registration, the player receives an email which will be his/her ticket for the entry to the qualifier. The players are required to reach the venue an hour before the tournament starts along with an ID proof.
