What if getting "Drunk in Love" was a real feeling? Well, it might be true as a new study has examined that a love hormone oxytocin makes people feel relaxed, happy and more confident.
Dr Ian Mitchell, from Birmingham University, said that they pooled existing research into the effects of both oxytocin and alcohol and it appeared to target different receptors within the brain, but caused common actions, the Daily Star reported.
Mitchell continued that these neural circuits controlled how they perceived stress or anxiety, especially in social situations such as interviews, or perhaps even plucking up the courage to ask somebody on a date.
The hormone can also make people more generous and willing to trust others, however, it can also spark aggression, jealousy and arrogance.
