Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) has paid an interim dividend of Rs. 36, 00,95,154 to the government for the year 2014-15 .
The CMD of BEL, S.K. Sharma, presented the interim dividend cheque to Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar at New Delhi on March 18.
BEL has declared 60 percent interim dividend (Rs. 6/- per share) to its shareholders for the year 2014-15.
This is the 11th consecutive year that BEL is paying the interim dividend. The company had paid 233 percent dividend in the previous year 2013-14 (60 percent interim dividend in February 2014 and 173 percent final dividend in October 2014.
