Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has insisted that he still dreams of winning a trophy and slammed his critics by saying that he 'sacrifices each day of his life' when the club fails to win silverware.

Arsenal is just two victories away from ending their nine-year wait for a trophy after reaching the FA Cup last four and are favourites to reach the final against Championship promotion hopefuls and holders Wigan Athletic.

According to the Daily Star, although the season could end on a sour note for Arsenal if they finish outside the top four in the Premier League and miss out on the Champions League for the first time since 1998, Wenger however, said that he still fights to win a trophy, especially the FA Cup this season.

Wenger, who was recently branded a 'specialist in failure' by Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, also said that he sacrifices every day of his life not to win a trophy, adding that only seven clubs can dream of winning the FA Cup at the start of the season.

Arsenal's last trophy was the 2005 FA Cup although Wenger admitted his men did not deserve to win it, via a penalty shoot-out against Manchester United, adding that they were only victorious by being defensive.
