A new research has revealed that people who blindly believe in God are the biggest risk takers as they view him as a security provider against potential negative outcomes.

The research conducted by Association For Psychological Science explained that thinking about God might have a different effect in relation to risks that have no moral connotation, since people tend to view God as a source of protection and security.

Daniella Kupor, lead researcher said that references to God pervade daily life in fact it was one of the most common nouns in the English language, and the reminders of God are so ubiquitous which concludes that it effects a large number of people.

The researchers analyzed through their experiment that 95.5 percent of people when reminded of God prior to making their choice were more likely to opt for the dangerous version of the experiment, than the ones who hadn't been reminded of God.

The research concluded that this effect may not hold for people from cultures in which God is not seen as a protective force, but are of broad relevance for millions of people around the world.

The research is published in a journal of the Association for Psychological Science, Psychological Science.
