Tomas Berdych has won the Rotterdam World Tennis title against Marin Cilic 6-4, 6-2.
Berdych, ranked seventh in the world, handed Croatia's Cilic his first loss after nine straight wins which took him to the Zagreb title a week ago.
According to Sport 24, it was the ninth career title for Berdych, who had not earned an ATP trophy since Stockholm, October 2012, 16 months ago.
The Czech said that it was a nice trophy to bring home, adding that Cilic played a good match and had a great two weeks, but there can only be one winner.
Berdych said that he thought of the final as just another match adding that everyone wants to win titles, but the best way to do that is to play solid and consistent over long 10-month season.
The report said that Berdych is the first Czech to win the Rotterdam honours since his Davis Cup teammate Radek Stepanek eight years ago.
He is due to play Marseille next week followed by Dubai, the report added.
