The Prime Minister of Bhutan Tshering Tobgay on Saturday met Dr. Manmohan Singh and discussed areas of mutual interest between the two countries.
This was his first official visit to India after becoming the Prime Minister of Bhutan, following the second democratic elections in Bhutan in July 2013. He is accompanied by his spouse Aum Tashi Doma, Foreign Minister Lyonpo Rinzin Dorje, and senior officials from the Royal Government of Bhutan.
The Bhutanese Prime Minister, during his six day state visit to India, will meet External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid, UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Finance Minister P. Chidambaram, Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, National Security Adviser and the Foreign Secretary.
He will also have a joint meeting with the three business chambers Assocham, FICCI and CII.
Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay would also meet the Andhra Pradesh Governor. During his visit to Hyderabad where he would see the CII Green Business Centre and the IT Park at Madhapur.
