Eight people were injured in a bicycle bombing in the northern Afghan city of Maimana, which is the capital of the country's Faryab province, on Monday.
Police said the bicycle exploded next to a police vehicle in Maimana at 3 p.m. local time today, injuring eight people including seven civilians and a security personnel.
Xinhua news agency quoted police, as saying that windowpanes of several houses and shops at nearby were also smashed.
