Big Bang Theory's Jim Parsons to host SNL for first time

'The Big Bang Theory' star Jim Parsons will be joined by musical guest Beck for hosting duties on the returning episode of 'Saturday Night Live' on March 1st, it has been revealed.

This will be the 40 year-old's SNL hosting debut, and he will be joined by musical guest Beck who will be making his seventh appearance on the late night comedy-sketch show, Contactmusic reported.

Beck's upcoming album 'Morning Phase' hits stores one week before the show airs, on February 25th.

NBC made the announcement on Thursday.
