The farmers in Bihar have said that no relief has been provided to them from the state government even as the floods in the state have practically destroyed the fields, damaged standing crops and washed away everything.

"We haven't received any relief from the government till date. Everything is destroyed. My house is submerged. We are surviving somehow," a farmer Shiv Shankar Singh told ANI on Thursday.

Another farmer said, "We had paddy, maize and vegetable crops in the five-acre land. Everything got washed away in the floods. Don't know how things will work if the government doesn't help."

The crops were affected in Muzaffarpur, after the Rajawada dam was breached. Paddy, maize, vegetable crops and banana plantations got damaged.

Meanwhile, over 450 people have died, with 21 districts being affected by the deluge.

"The place is filled with water. The water has risen to our beds. Everyone is really disturbed," said Paras Nath, a constable in a police station in Muzaffarpur.

Urban areas of Muzaffarpur have been deluged following the overflow of water in the Tirhut Canal.
