Launching a frontal attack on the grand alliance in Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said the five-phased assembly polls in the state are based on the idea of development and progress for the youth.
Prime Minister Modi, who was addressing a rally in Munger, laid emphasis on his development agenda in Bihar.
"For the first time, the Bihar polls are based on the idea of development and progress for the youth," he said while asserting that the youth of Bihar will make the right decision this time.
Prime Minister Modi also hit out at Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, saying the former Bihar chief minister has insulted the Yadav community.
"The elections come and go, but it is the people that stay with you. Lalu Prasad Yadav has insulted the Yadav community by commenting about what they eat. In this election, there is 'jungle raj' on one side and 'vikas raj' on the other," Prime Minister Modi said.
"No one wants 'jungle raj' again. There have been around 4,000 incidents of kidnapping in Bihar under the 'jungle raj'," he added.

Continuing his tirade against the grand alliance, Prime Minister Modi told the people of Bihar that their growing support for him would disturb the sleep of those perpetrating the 'jungle raj' in the state.
Prime Minister Modi also invoked Lok Nayak Jaiprakash Narayan to target the grand alliance and held the Congress Party responsible for his death.
"JP Narayan ji died on October 8, 1979, and it was the Congress which had sent him to jail. That's where he got sick, which led to his death. Those who used to praise JP are now with the Congress, the same party that jailed their leader. What kind of politics is this?" he asked.
Prime Minister Modi dubbed the grand alliance of the JD(U), RJD and Congress as 'mahaswarthbandhan' (an alliance of those having selfish interests).
With just three days remaining for the campaigning for phase one to conclude, leaders from all political parties are making all attempts to woo the voters in the state.
Campaigning for this phase will end at 5 pm on Saturday. Polling for this phase will be held on October 12.
Meanwhile, today is the last date of filing of nominations for the third phase of the assembly polls. Polling for this phase will be held on October 28.
