Bill Gates reportedly revealed during an interview with Rolling Stone that Microsoft wanted to buy WhatsApp.
Microsoft's board chairman said that the software giant was willing to buy mobile-messaging startup WhatsApp that social network site Facebook recently bought for a whopping 19 billion dollars.
According to Cnet, when Rolling Stone's Jeff Goodell said to Gates that Google was supposedly looking at possibly buying WhatsApp, Gates said that Microsoft was willing to buy it, too, adding that he did not know if it was for 19 billion dollars but the companys's extremely valuable.
Gates said that Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg was more of a product manager than he ever was, adding that while he started with architecture, Mark started with products.
