Hitting out at Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal for shielding party MLA Dinesh Mohaniya using 'emergency-like' situation, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday said the 'circus of jokers' won't go on for long in Delhi and the Delhi Chief Minister would get what's coming for him in the next assembly election.
"The name of Arvind Kejriwal would be written in a paper of history as someone who knows less of politics but sits on dharna. He talks about good administration in newspapers and spends huge sum of money on ads. He talks nonsense. Someone has correctly said a circus of the jokers is going on in Delhi. This won't go for long as the people of Delhi have now recognized the circus and Kejriwal ji will get its answer in the next election," Minister of State for Tourism, Culture and Civil Aviation Mahesh Sharma told ANI.
Resonating similar sentiments, BJP leader Satish Upadhyay told ANI that it should be decided whether there should be law and order or 'goonda raaj' in Delhi.
"Within three days, two FIRs are registered against you. One day you slap a woman and the other day you slap an old man. Is there jungle raaj in Delhi? Will you take law and order in your hand if you have come to power? The law and order should be maintained and the police are investigating. Now by holding press conference, will you glorify it? So wherever you are, police will obviously arrest you," he added.
Meanwhile, Mohaniya, who was arrested on assault charges earlier today, was sent to judicial custody till June 27.
He was arrested by the Delhi Police while addressing a press conference at his office in Khanpur in South Delhi.

Mohaniya, who is also the vice-chairman of Delhi Jal Board, was booked on June 23 after locals of Sangam Vihar alleged that the MLA and his supporters roughed them up and misbehaved with women in his office when they went to complain about irregular water supply.
A case was registered under Section 506 (criminal intimidation), Section 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) and Section 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) of the Indian Penal Code at the Neb Sarai Police Station.
The police also added Sections 354 and 354 (b).
However, the MLA had rubbished the allegations, saying it was an attempt to defame his reputation as the water mafia is frustrated because of the Delhi Government's crackdown.
Another case has been registered against Mohaniya for allegedly slapping a 60-year-old man in Tughlaquabad area on Friday.
A case has been registered against Mohaniya under Sections 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) and 341(punishment for wrongful restraint) and 34 (act done by several persons) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at the Govindpuri Police Station.
