Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Rameshwar Chourasia on Sunday demanded strong action against suspended Janata Dal (United) MLA Sarfraz Alam, who allegedly misbehaved with a woman on a train, and said that the Bihar Government initiated action against him only after pressure from the media.
"The question is that his (Sarfraz Alam) track record was very bad then why did the CM give him ticket? Why did they take action only after pressure from the media? Mere suspension is not enough, the CM should take strong action against him," Chourasia told ANI here.

"He is talking advantage of his position. Who gave him the license of travelling without ticket? Who gave him the right to sit on reserved seats? He is misbehaving with the people who voted him," he added.
Alam yesterday admitted to have travelled by Rajdhani Express.Earlier, Alam had denied the charge and said that he was not on that train.
Railway Superintendent of Police, P.N. Mishra, yesterday said that Alam was interrogated for four hours during which he admitted to have travelled by the Rajdhani Express without a ticket.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar yesterday suspended Alam from the party.
An FIR was registered on Monday against Alam for harassing a couple onboard Rajdhani train. He has also been charged with misbehaving with the woman passenger.
"I did not even travel by that train. There is politics behind this to tarnish my image. I will initiate legal action," Alam had earlier said.
